The following lines, short of a justification, shall serve as a bridge from an almost forgotten, dusty and dimly lit basement corner to the world. A world oblivious of its fragility, breathlessly heading towards another downfall. I am interested in the beauty of empires starting to crumble, the magic moments when non-reversible decisions unveil their ugly face with vigor, the low-fi humming of dusk rolling over the mountain range when words de-link from meaning, while birds sing their evening song.
My night is as dark as yours, yet I am an optimist at heart, for my mad god is watching over me when I play in the temple of confusion. Unconscious streams of random thoughts form…, well, something. I might sell it, so you may decorate your bunker walls and thereby Mondays lose their stabbing pain in the lower abdominal cavity.
At current, I focus on making digital image files look like pulp from the sixties and seventies, printed on handmade paper; as well as on creating abstract acrylic pieces on canvas that convey an appearance of me effortlessly taming chaos.
Being a late child of the 20th century, most of my stylistic devices are rooted in an admiration for the post-war trailblazers of a new culture.
My job description is titled “CEO of MGI and RPU”. I will go into details later.
Coming back to “post” (and “para”, “proto” and “hyper”) – I propose to add another prefix, “quantum”, to the art world’s vocabulary. My new project was realized in cooperation with The Krow Bridge Collective, an interdisciplinary group of talented engineers, scientists and artists.
The project shall be known as “Quantum-Immortality in a Metastable Vacuum”. In it we painfully reanimate our crystallized dreams of a winter in the eighties. When art wasn't an asset class. When we were only 4.4 billion. When Ampeg, Sunn and Marshall ruled the world. There is hope, but not for us.
Coming back to “war”: It is detrimental to the physical integrity, mental balance and business of the losing parties’ fighters, as well as their families. Let us please avoid it under all circumstances. I use the word “war” here in its broadest sense, including all manifestations of bad ideas competing for dominance.
Finally, I would like to record the following: the goal of my actions is catching what is deeply hidden under the clutter and the pulp:
Fear in a Handful of Dust.
